This is not your average overdrive pedal. It's a breath of fresh air in a market full of clones and clones of clones. The Lowtide overdrive from Seafoam Pedals is a unique transistor-based overdrive (not opamp-based like TS, KL, and BB pedals) and a perfect fit for those searching for a refreshingly different sound.

The difference in sound is heard as transparent but fuller by increasing frequency range (extending lows and highs), all while keeping your original tone intact. The Lowtide's distinct breakup is paired with a unique gain "focus" control for customizable tone shaping. At 12:00, you'll hear the even and open gain from the transistors, turning the knob left or right introduces clipping with two different circuit paths and types of diodes; left is the clipping style of a certain legendary horse-man pedal, right is the classic green box clipping style.

The Lowtide overdrive was designed by a guitar player searching for a perfect low to medium gain option. Now, after years of refining and tweaking, it's sure to blow you away with how transparent and full your guitar can sound - all while having the perfect amount of overdrive!

Controls:
Volume - adjusts the overall output level, unity is around 11:00 with up to 10 db of boost.
Bass - adjusts the lower frequency range (below 500 Hz), turn left to remove low-end and turn right for more low-end.
Treble - adjusts the higher frequency range (above 1K Hz), turn left to remove high-end and turn right for more high-end.
(Fixed mid-range, dial bass and treble back for a mid boost or max bass and treble for mid scoop)
Drive - low to medium gain (edge of breakup to crunch) from 9:00 to 2:00, distortion to low gain fuzz after 2:00. This control is a transistor bias, a slight crackle as the gain increases is normal and also essential for it to sound great on low and high gain settings.
Focus - 12:00 is even and open, left is horse-man and right is green box clipping styles. There are 2 completely different circuit paths and diode types on either side of this control, you will hear the different levels of "softening" as you turn away from extremes towards the middle. This sounds like a "midrange gain control" - each side really colors the midrange in a special way as it's adding gain. The left side sounds like it focuses the gain to the low-mids and the right side sounds like the high-mids get gained up to slight compression.
